Dr. Medina Is A Vascular Surgeon
Dr. Medina attended undergraduate, graduate, and medical school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha where he was a Nellie House Craven Scholar in Academic Medicine. He completed his general surgical training at Yale-New Haven Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital in Connecticut, and his Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at St. Vincent Medical Center in Ohio. Dr. Medina is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Southeastern Surgical Congress. In addition, Dr. Medina is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Medina and his wife Melinda relocated to Cary where they are raising their three children.

Triangle Vein Clinic was founded in 1991 by Victor A. Medina, MD, FACS, DABS as the area’s first specialized center for the treatment of venous disease.
Triangle Vein Clinic is a surgical practice specializing in cosmetic treatment and therapeutic treatment of venous diseases including varicose veins, spider veins, and leg pain associated with venous complications. The goal of Triangle Vein Clinic – the area’s original vein clinic – is to provide patients with cosmetic and pain relief while treating venous disease before other complications develop.

Dr. Medina opened the Triangle’s first specialized vein clinic more than 30 years ago. As he has grown the practice to serve the specialized need for vascular care in the Triangle, one thing hasn’t changed for him — his commitment to patient education. It’s important to him that patients feel educated and informed about the vascular procedures and treatments they will be receiving. While there are cosmetic concerns involved with venous disorders, they represent an underlying medical condition that needs to be addressed. By spending time with his patients, Dr. Medina wants each patient to feel comfortable with the treatment and procedure.
Beyond his focus on providing exceptional vascular surgical care, Dr. Medina enjoys exploring the bigger pictures in life. He likes traveling to picturesque locales where he can practice his panoramic photography and landscape video skills.
